Establishing Professional Contacts and Expanding Resources

This week I reviewed the list of  professional contacts that we were given to choose from. I chose four of them and made an effort to communicate. One of the contacts was an incorrect e-mail address. I have not had any luck hearing from the other three. A few years ago I had the opportunity to go on a mission trip to Nicaragua and I have made an attempt to make a contact there with someone I know. I am very hopeful to hear from her soon. I am very interested in making contact with international partners. I hope to not have to do the alternate assignment. Any suggestions or ideas will be appreciated. Thanks!

I  wish to explore and study the Zero To Three: National Center for infants, Toddlers, and Families website. In the past I have found their articles to be very beneficial while researching specific topics. I look forward to learning more about their organization.

    I am also still waiting for my responses. How great would it be if you could reconnect with Nicaragua. I also agree that the articles I have read in the past from Zero To Three: National Center for infants, toddlers, and families to be extremely helpful.

      Hi Amy, I did not get a response from my organization either. I was really looking forward to seeing what the issues and concerns are and if they are close to what we are expericening her. I hope the person you mde contact with in Nicaragua will contact you soon.

    Hi Amy,

    If your Nicaraguan or other contacts don't work out I would be happy to ask Regina, our au pair from Switzerland, about any friends of hers who also work at her child care and see if they can help you. Let me know if you are interested. I too liked the Zero to Three website, but decided to pursue something a little different this time and went with the CASEL website this time.

    Amy,
    I hope that your contact works out for you. I am waiting for my contacts to respond back to me also. If you are interested in learning about children in Thailand, I can share the information with you if yours does not work out. I am sure she would be glad to answer any questions you might have as well. I also chose Zero to Three as I felt that this website was very beneficial to me througout my first three courses. I also subscribed to the newsletter on the website. If you have not done that, it may be beneficial to you also. Good luck and I look forward to hearing more from your experiences.

    Why don't you want to do the alternate assignment? I am hoping that you get in contact with at least one of the four people that you sent emails out to and looking forward to your post on what you are learning.

    Hi Amy, I am still waiting to hear from the two foundations I emailed. It would be great if they respond to us so that we can add them to our resouces and find out what is happening in their area.
