Diversity makes us who we are.
Investing in children’s lives will make a brighter future.
Valuing all people is the beginning of breaking the bias cycle.
Everyone has the right to be respected and understood.
Race, age, color, class, and disabilities are all included and embraced.
Sexual preferences are the rights of all individuals.
Inspire others to look inward and seek ways to be anti-bias.
Think before reacting to things you see and hear.
You can make a difference!
Hi Amy,
ReplyDeleteIn responding to your post let me congratulate you on that lovely poem that you have written. It has actually summarize all that we have been doing throughout the course. Well done and all the best.
Hi Amy,
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed reading your poem, and how you have defined anti-bias work so succinctly. I appreciate that you mention inclusion in your poem as I agree that everyone has the right to inclusion and to live how they choose to. Thank you for sharing!
I loved your poem. I thought the words you put into your blog depicted diversity and all its aspects. When I first read through it, I misread "investing" as "investigating." When I realized my mistake, I started to think. Is investigating part of diversity? I think it is! When we work so closely with children and families that are so different from us, I think "investigating" is a critical part to anti-bias education.
